Update 3/3/2021: Clayton County has returned to level RED for COVID-19! This means we will not return to in person worship on 3/7 but you can find our service on YouTube.  We will continue to follow the guidelines which limit the number of persons that can gather indoors.   Our Food Pantry will continue to operate as long as it remains safe for them to do so.  If your group would like to use a virtual gathering place like Zoom, please contact Cora in the church office.

Update 2/22/2021: Clayton County is currently in the Orange for COVID-19! If we remain out of the red for two weeks, we should be able to return to in person worship on 3/7/2021.  Everyone wishing to attend would need to wear a mask and undergo a temperature check.  All groups would be able to meet as long as they could maintain social distancing.

Clayton County is currently (2/1) in the RED for COVID-19. Based on “Opening the Building” guidelines that the Trustees and the Governance Board developed and approved, (with guidance from the Conference and the CDC) in person for worship is not permitted. This restriction will stay in place until Clayton County has been out of the RED for two weeks.

While the county is in the RED, the guidelines allow for small groups to meet. The Georgia Department of Health has defined a small group as having less than 10 people present. As a result of this, the only group that will be allowed to meet on the church campus is the Food Pantry. Thus, groups larger than 10 participants present may not meet indoors.  Larger groups may meet outdoors if safety precautions are followed.

Singing and playing certain instruments are at the highest level of risk for spreading COVID-19. Because of this and the high level of community transmission in Clayton County, Musical Program will not be scheduled at this time.

Please wear your mask, wash your hands, and socially distance. If we all do our part, we will be back together to worship soon. Updates will be posted in the Morrow Mirror.
